IMPORTANT NOTICE

This Transfer Case Warranty Policy forms an integral part of the Terms & Conditions of Precision Auto Parts Group LLC (“PAS”). By purchasing, installing, or using any transfer case supplied by PAS, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by this policy.

This policy governs all aspects of the transaction, including product condition, compatibility, installation requirements, warranty coverage, exclusions, claim procedures, and dispute resolution.

RECYCLED TRANSFER CASE WARRANTY

All transfer cases supplied by PAS are used OEM or reconditioned units that have been inspected for functionality prior to shipment.

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser, for private, non-commercial use, and only to the vehicle in which the transfer case is originally installed. This warranty is non-transferable.

Warranty coverage is limited strictly to the internal mechanical components of the transfer case and is valid for the period specified on the invoice, beginning from the date of delivery.

PAS reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to repair, replace, or provide an equivalent unit in the event of an approved claim.

MECHANICAL PARTS WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

This warranty does not cover failures caused by external factors or non-internal issues, including but not limited to:

  • Improper installation or incorrect procedures

  • Incorrect fluid type, low fluid levels, or contamination

  • Mismatch of drivetrain components or gear ratios

  • Failure of transmission, differential, or related components

  • Electrical or actuator-related issues

  • Improper usage, misuse, or lack of maintenance

Only failures directly attributable to internal defects of the transfer case will be considered.

COVERED COMPONENTS (INTERNAL TRANSFER CASE ONLY)

Warranty coverage applies strictly to internal lubricated mechanical components, including:

  • Gear assemblies

  • Chains and sprockets

  • Shafts and internal drive components

  • Bearings and internal moving parts

All external components are excluded unless specifically stated in writing.

WARRANTY VALIDATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Sensors and switches

  • Wiring and connectors

  • Actuators or control modules

  • External housings, brackets, and mounts

These components must be inspected and replaced as necessary by the installer.

IMPORTANT WARNING

Proper compatibility and drivetrain matching are critical. The transfer case must match the vehicle’s transmission, differential, and drivetrain configuration.

Incorrect installation, mismatched components, or improper setup may result in severe drivetrain damage and is not covered under warranty.

IN THE EVENT OF A FAILURE (CRITICAL REQUIREMENT)

Under no circumstances should the transfer case be removed, opened, or disassembled without prior written authorization from PAS.

The customer must immediately notify PAS upon discovery of any issue. Unauthorized actions will result in immediate voidance of warranty.
