IMPORTANT NOTICE

This General Mechanical Components Warranty Policy forms an integral part of the Terms & Conditions of Precision Auto Parts Group LLC (“PAS”). By purchasing, installing, or using any general mechanical component supplied by PAS, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by this policy.

This policy applies to all non-major mechanical components, including but not limited to alternators, starter motors, AC compressors, power steering pumps, brake components (non-ABS), wheel hub assemblies, knuckles, spindles, mounts, and similar parts.

GENERAL MECHANICAL COMPONENT WARRANTY

All components supplied by PAS are used OEM, reconditioned, or re-manufactured units that have been inspected for basic functionality prior to shipment.

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser, for private, non-commercial use, and only to the vehicle in which the component is installed. This warranty is non-transferable.

Warranty coverage applies strictly to the basic functional operation of the core component and is valid for the duration specified on the invoice, beginning from the date of delivery.

PAS reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to repair, replace, or provide an equivalent unit in the event of an approved claim.

COMPONENTS COVERED UNDER THIS POLICY

This policy includes, but is not limited to:

  • Alternator

  • Starter Motor

  • AC Compressor

  • Power Steering Pump

  • Brake Components (excluding ABS systems)

  • Wheel Hub Assemblies

  • Knuckles / Spindles

  • Engine & Transmission Mounts

  • Miscellaneous mechanical components

MECHANICAL PARTS WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

This warranty does not cover failures resulting from external conditions, improper installation, or normal wear and tear, including but not limited to:

  • Electrical system faults (battery, wiring, charging system)

  • Improper installation or incorrect procedures

  • Lack of maintenance or improper usage

  • Contamination, overheating, or fluid issues

  • Failure of related vehicle components

Failures not directly attributable to the core function of the supplied part are not covered.

COVERED COMPONENTS (CORE FUNCTION ONLY)

Warranty coverage applies strictly to the primary function of the component.

Wear-and-tear items such as seals, bearings (where serviceable), bushings, brushes, connectors, pulleys, clutches, and external fittings are not covered and must be inspected and replaced by the installer as required.

WARRANTY VALIDATION REQUIREMENTS

To maintain warranty eligibility, the following conditions must be strictly met:

  • Installation must be completed within 10 days of delivery

  • Installation must be performed by a qualified technician

  • Installation documentation must be submitted within 10 days of installation

  • Proper installation procedures must be followed

  • The root cause of the original failure must be identified and corrected

Failure to comply will result in voidance of warranty coverage.

INSTALLATION REQUIREMENT (CRITICAL CONDITION)

Proper installation and system inspection are required. The installer must ensure that all related systems are functioning correctly prior to installation.

For electrical components such as alternators and starters, the battery and wiring system must be tested. For AC compressors, the system must be flushed and refrigerant properly filled. For brake and hub components, proper fitment and alignment must be ensured.

Failure to prepare the system properly may result in immediate failure and is not covered under warranty.

IMPORTANT WARNING

Many general mechanical components fail due to external system issues rather than part defects. Improper diagnosis, installation, or system preparation may lead to repeat failure.

PAS shall not be responsible for failures caused by unresolved vehicle issues or incorrect installation.

IN THE EVENT OF A FAILURE (CRITICAL REQUIREMENT)

Under no circumstances should the part be opened, modified, or disassembled without prior written authorization from PAS.

The customer must contact PAS immediately upon discovering any issue. Unauthorized actions will result in void warranty.

INSTALLATION CHECKLIST (MANDATORY COMPLETION REQUIRED)

The installer must verify compatibility, inspect all related systems, replace necessary wear components, ensure proper fluid levels, and confirm correct operation after installation.

Failure to complete required installation procedures may result in improper operation or failure, which is not covered under warranty.

COMMON CAUSES OF FAILURE (NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY)

The following are not covered:

  • Improper installation

  • Electrical system faults

  • Failure to service related systems

  • Contamination or overheating

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Incorrect diagnosis

WARRANTY VOID CONDITIONS

Warranty will be considered void under the following conditions:

  • Installation beyond 10 days of delivery

  • Failure to provide required documentation

  • Unauthorized modification or disassembly

  • Improper installation or maintenance

  • Evidence of misuse or external damage

TERMS & CONDITIONS (ENFORCEMENT CLAUSES)

All claims are subject to inspection and approval by PAS. PAS reserves the right to inspect any component prior to approving a claim.

Warranty coverage is limited strictly to the purchase price of the part only. PAS shall not be liable for labor, towing, rental, or incidental expenses.

All decisions made by PAS shall be final.

IN THE EVENT OF FAILURE

The customer must provide complete documentation, including installation records and diagnostic reports, and must return the part for inspection prior to any resolution.
