IMPORTANT NOTICE
This Electrical & Control Module Warranty Policy forms an integral part of the Terms & Conditions of Precision Auto Parts Group LLC (“PAS”). By purchasing, installing, or using any electrical or control module supplied by PAS, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by this policy.
This policy applies to all electronic components including but not limited to Engine Control Units (ECU), Engine Control Modules (ECM), Powertrain Control Modules (PCM), Transmission Control Modules (TCM), ABS Modules, Body Control Modules (BCM), Totally Integrated Power Modules (TIPM), Fuse Boxes, and similar vehicle electronic systems.
ELECTRICAL COMPONENT WARRANTY
All electrical components supplied by PAS are used, reconditioned, or tested units that have been verified for basic functionality prior to shipment.
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser, for private, non-commercial use, and only to the vehicle in which the component is installed. This warranty is non-transferable.
Warranty coverage applies strictly to the internal electronic functionality of the module and is valid for the duration specified on the invoice.
PAS reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to repair, replace, or provide an equivalent unit in the event of an approved claim.
COMPONENTS COVERED UNDER THIS POLICY
This policy includes, but is not limited to, the following components:
Engine & Drivetrain Electronics

ECU (Engine Control Unit)

Safety & Body Electronics

ABS Module / ABS Control Unit

Other vehicle electronic control modules and units
WARRANTY VALIDATION REQUIREMENTS
To maintain warranty eligibility, the following conditions must be strictly met:

Installation must be completed within 10 days of delivery
-
Installation must be performed by a qualified technician
-
Installation and diagnostic documentation must be submitted within 10 days
-
Proper diagnostic procedures must be performed prior to installation
-
The root cause of the original issue must be identified and confirmed
Failure to comply will result in voidance of warranty coverage.
DIAGNOSTIC & PROGRAMMING REQUIREMENT (CRITICAL CONDITION)
Electrical components require accurate diagnostic confirmation prior to replacement.
The installer must:

Perform a full system diagnostic scan

Verify fault codes and system behavior
-
Confirm wiring integrity and power supply
-
Ensure no external electrical faults exist
Additionally, many modules require:

Programming
-
Coding
-
VIN matching
-
Relearn procedures
Failure to properly diagnose or program the unit is not considered a product defect and is not covered under warranty.
NON-COVERED COMPONENTS & SYSTEMS
This warranty does not cover failures caused by:

Wiring harness faults
-
Poor ground connections
-
Blown fuses or relays
-
Sensor failures
-
Voltage spikes or electrical damage
-
Battery or charging system issues
-
Improper programming or coding
Any issue not directly attributable to internal failure of the module is excluded.
IMPORTANT WARNING
Electrical components are highly sensitive to system conditions. Incorrect diagnosis is one of the most common causes of replacement failure.
PAS shall not be responsible for issues resulting from misdiagnosis, improper installation, or unresolved vehicle system faults.
IN THE EVENT OF A FAILURE (CRITICAL REQUIREMENT)
Under no circumstances should the module be opened, modified, or tampered with.
The customer must contact PAS immediately upon discovery of an issue. Unauthorized actions will result in immediate voidance of warranty.
INSTALLATION & VALIDATION REQUIREMENTS
The installer must:

Confirm correct part compatibility

Perform pre-installation diagnostics
-
Ensure all wiring and connectors are intact
-
Complete all required programming and relearn procedures
-
Verify proper system functionality after installation
Failure to follow these steps may result in improper operation and denial of warranty claims.
COMMON CAUSES OF FAILURE (NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY)
The following are not covered:

Incorrect diagnosis

Failure to program or code module
-
Wiring or electrical system faults
-
Sensor or actuator failures
-
Voltage irregularities
-
Installation errors
WARRANTY VOID CONDITIONS
Warranty will be void under the following conditions:

Installation beyond 10 days of delivery
-
Failure to provide documentation
-
Unauthorized opening or modification
-
Improper installation or programming
-
Evidence of electrical damage or misuse
TERMS & CONDITIONS (ENFORCEMENT CLAUSES)
All claims are subject to inspection and approval by PAS.
Warranty coverage is limited strictly to the cost of the part only. PAS shall not be liable for:

Labor costs
-
Diagnostic charges
-
Towing or rental expenses
-
Loss of use or downtime
All decisions made by PAS shall be final.
IN THE EVENT OF FAILURE
The customer must provide complete documentation, including diagnostic reports and installation records. The part must be returned for inspection prior to resolution.

This policy is designed to ensure proper diagnosis, correct installation, and fair evaluation of all electrical component claims.
